DIAGNOSTICS

Could an undiagnosed illness or injury be plaguing your pet?

When people get sick or hurt, they go to the doctor, explain their symptoms and receive the appropriate treatment. With pets, things aren’t always this straightforward. Because animals can’t speak, they can’t let us know when something is bothering them.

What’s more, many animals are able to hide the signs of illness, allowing it to develop and worsen undetected.

Veterinary diagnostics enable the Royal Oaks Veterinary Hospital team to identify and treat health problems in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury can vastly improve the chances of a positive outcome.

Laboratory

Our convenient on-site diagnostic laboratory makes it fast and efficient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have results in mere moments. This means we can have a treatment plan in place before you and your pet even leave the exam room.

Imaging

When a physical exam and lab work aren’t enough to reach a diagnosis, we rely on advanced imaging technology, such as x-rays and ultrasound. These tools allow us to evaluate the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.

The diagnostic images we capture can then be analyzed by our doctors in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.

If your pet has been acting a bit out of sorts lately, don’t take chances. Contact Royal Oaks Veterinary Hospital right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your best friend back on the path to good health again.
