What is FIP? It stands for ‘Feline Infectious Peritonitis’ and is caused by a severe reaction of the immune system to the feline coronavirus. This disease leads to organ failure, fevers and an accumulation of fluid in either the chest or abdomen. Fortunately, this is not a contagious disease but, there is no exact way to test for it. It is always fatal.
