Seizures can be a very scary things for both pets and their owners to experience. If your pet experiences a severe seizure, a seizure lasting longer than 2 minutes, or multiple seizures within a 24 hour period these are medical emergencies. There are many causes of seizure and diagnostic tools to help pin point the cause and other factors. There are multiple medications that your vet can help you find which medication gives your pet the best seizure control. Like with most long term medication, regular bloodwork is necessary to monitor the effects of the medication on the body overtime.
